The Mount Clemens Farmers Market is an open-air market that has been serving the community since 1979. JoEllen Clark, secretary of the market board and a farmer of the market, says, “We open the first Saturday in May and run until the Saturday before Thanksgiving. The Mount Clemens Farmers Market (MCFM) is primarily a growers’ market of locally grown plants, vegetables, and fruit, with a few food vendors. You must grow or produce what you sell. Most of the farmers on the market are multi-generational farmers.” The market is open on Saturdays from 7 a.m. – 1 p.m.
